SSD - это твердотельный носитель, в нем нет вращающихся деталей и потому меньше энергопотребление. Но они дорогие и в бюджетных моделях нетбуков пока не водятся
да и в декстопных машинах еще нерентабельно их юзать, хотя винты такие уже есть
