borislvinУдивительно, что любая нелепая глупость про Штаты встречается с полным доверием - и это при том, что подлинные тамошние глупости или остаются неизвестными, или вообще рассматриваются как премудрость всемирного масштаба.

Там некий Jabba тоже возмущается "американской истерикой" - причем с такой страстью, будто сам слушает исключительно эти станции и теперь его жизнь идет кувырком. Простая мысль о том, что у станций есть хозяева, которым и решать, что слушать, а что нет - в голову, конечно, не приходит.
Интересно, что все приводят число станций, принадлежащих Clear Channel - 1170. Цифра сама по себе, видимо, неверная - Clear Channel заявляет, что владеет 1123 станциями. Но никому, похоже, ни пришло в голову поинтересоваться, много это или мало. А ведь узнать, сколько станций в Штатах, очень несложно: As of March 2000, there were 10,779 commercial radio stations in the United States (http://www.fcc.gov/mmb/prd/docs/radio00.doc). То есть речь идет в лучшем случае о десяти процентах станций.
Но на кого ссылается Jabba? Естественно, на http://www.dni.ru Дать точную ссылку ему, конечно, невмоготу. Но найти ее легко. Вот она: http://www.dni.ru/a_list.php

"Clear Channel Radio has not banned any songs from any of its radio stations.
Clear Channel believes that radio is a local medium. It is up to every radio station program director and general manager to understand their market, listen to their listeners and guide their station's music selections according to local sensitivities. Each program director and general manager must take the pulse of his or her market to determine if play lists should be altered, and if so, for how long. <...>"
