Вот - неплохая научная статья об истории медицинского обслуживания в Корее. Автор начинает ее с традиционных антияпонских инвектив, без которых не обходится сейчас ни один корейский историк. Он утверждает, что "состояние здоровья корейцев в период японского колониального управления было очень плохим, средняя продолжительность жизни составляла 22,6 лет для мужчин и 24,6 лет для женщин".1 Человек, знакомый с корейской исторической демографией, не может не улыбнуться, прочтя этот пассаж. Дело в том, что эти цифры относятся к 1910 г., то есть году установления японского колониального режима. Понятно, что цифры эти в действительности отражают ситуацию, существовавшую в независимой, доколониальной Корее. Кстати, когда японцы покидали Корею, продолжительность жизни была другой - 43 года у мужчин, 44 года у женщин. За 35 лет колониального рабства средняя продолжительность жизни выросла почти в два раза (главным образом за счет внедрения водопровода, канализации и проведения простейших гигиенических мероприятий).
Что-то не очень мне верится бангладешскому историку-антиколониалисту.
