Правильное отношение к ученым степеням

По ссылке в ЖЖ юзера dmtr обнаружен новый юзер romanycz. А на одной из личных страниц этого замечательного юзера выложено его формальное CV (http://www.isi.it/~zapatrin/cvs.htm), где имеется, среди прочего, раздел "Academic degrees". Раздел выглядит так:

I do not recognize the notion of academic degree and do not collaborate with institutions discriminating people by this formal criterion.

Comment: If your institution conducts the above mentioned discriminating policy, please throw away all my papers and stop considering any collaboration with me. In fact, I have a sheet of paper (called the diploma of candidate of physico-mathematical sciences obtained offically without a supervisor) which Russian scientists usually refer to as Ph. D. However I use it only in Russia and only for such kind of official bodies which, from my point of view, simply should not exist.

Четко и ясно. Согласен на сто процентов с каждым словом (с той маленькой разницей, что у меня нет даже и такой sheet of paper).
