Опять же - о тех самых злополучных карикатурах.

РИА "Новости" сообщают - почему-то из Хельсинки - со ссылкой на датское новостное агентство Ritzau, что некая иорданская газета под названием "Al-Shinan" перепечатала те самые карикатуры (http://www.rian.ru/society/religion/20060202/43296524.html). Казалось бы, этот эпизод должен был бы стать поворотным, но почему-то нигде о нем больше не слышно. Более того, не удается найти саму эту газету Аль-Шинан. Скажем, в списке по адресу http://www.abyznewslinks.com/jorda.htm ее нет.

Не может ли кто проверить, было ли вообще у Ритцау сообщение об этом? Доступ к его материалам (http://www.ritzau.dk) платный.

A Jordanian gossip tabloid published three of the offending cartoons. “Muslims of the world, be reasonable,” said the editor in chief of the weekly independent newspaper Al-Shihan in an editorial alongside the cartoons. He said he decided to publish the cartoons “so people know what they are protesting about... People are attacking drawings that they have not even seen.”

Hours later, the owners of Al-Shihan sacked him. “The Arab Printers Company which owns Al-Shihan Weekly has decided to fire its editor Jihad Momani as of Thursday after republishing the blasphemous caricatures,” the firm said in a statement.
