Замечательно, кстати, что один из первых текстов, выложенных на сайте обамовского Белого дома в первую его неделю, начинается прямо по-трамповски:

"This moment of peril must be turned to one of progress," President Barack Obama said this morning, as he signed his first two Presidential Memoranda aimed at getting us on the path to energy independence"

Правда, в реальности это были меморандумы совсем о другом, но уже не так важно :)

Там же обнаружился приказ, один из первых и едва ли не первый вообще, в котором так и приказано:

Closure of Detention Facilities at Guantánamo. The detention facilities at Guantánamo for individuals covered by this order shall be closed as soon as practicable, and no later than 1 year from the date of this order.

И, кстати, хорошо (как обычно) высказался Пирронг:

А вот это действительно революция

<...> Every appointee in every executive agency appointed on or after January 20, 2017, shall sign, and upon signing shall be contractually committed to, the following pledge upon becoming an appointee:

I will not for a period of 2 years from the date of my appointment participate in any particular matter involving specific parties that is directly and substantially related to my former employer or former clients, including regulations and contracts.

Впрочем, тут закавыка. Похоже, в тексте, выложенном на сайте - ошибка, и должно быть не "for a period of 2 years from the date of my appointment", а что-то типа "for a period of 2 years after the termination of my employment", иначе теряется смысл.

Так что погодим и посмотрим, ошибка ли это (исправят ли ее) или что-то другое.

Прочитал внимательнее - нет, там нет ошибки. И нет, это не революция. Это половинка революции, четверть революции.

Это попытка борьбы с институциональной коррупцией, когда люди из бизнеса идут в правительство помогать своему бывшему бизнесу.

А в Америке, как мне кажется, более распространена институциональная коррупция, когда люди из правительства идут в бизнес, чтобы помогать своему будущему бизнесу.

И вот этот момент охвачен здесь очень слабо.

Отбой воздушной тревоги.
