Humanitarian Assistance, a Priority for the Central American Migrants

1. 640 individuals were channeled in an orderly and safe manner to facilities of the National Institute of Migration (INM) <...>
2. Through the efforts of the governments of Honduras and Guatemala, about 500 people who voluntarily expressed their interest in returning to their hometowns in Honduras were assisted. Another group of around 1,000 migrants in Guatemala are being assisted with their repatriation.
3. Of the almost 900 migrants who have put their lives at risk by trying to enter Mexico at unofficial crossing points such as the Suchiate River, Mexican authorities have proceeded and will continue to rescue them, and they will be subject to the administrative procedures established by Mexican legislation and, if applicable, repatriated to their home countries.
4. To the roughly 2,220 migrants who remain on the border bridge, staff from Mexico's embassy in Guatemala and consulate in Tecún Umán have reiterated the information and requirements for entering Mexico, and have provided them with medical attention and water.

Date: 2018-10-23 04:02 am (UTC)Надо бы, наверно, отдельно записать впечатления. Если в двух словах - это место категорически не для меня. Но очень многим нравится.
При этом, если говорить объективно, там многое оказалось сильно лучше, чем я ожидал. Просто я полностью несовместим с тамошним жарким климатом, он меня буквально убивает.

Date: 2018-10-23 12:46 pm (UTC)У меня вообще от Японии осталось прочное ощущение некоей голографичности, в том смысле, что в любом мельчайшем осколке реальности, даже самом бытовом, отражается ее тотальная непохожесть на все остальное. В Китае и Корее я такого не ощущал.
Гонконг показался очень, скажем так, интровертным, не ориентированным на посетителя извне. Сеул в этом смысле гораздо более открыт, просторен, понятен и удобен. При этом в Гонконге все оказалось на удивление дорогим, начиная от гостиниц и кончая, собственно, всем остальным.
И, конечно, люди в Гонконге, как и вообще в Китае, демонстрируют прочную, устойчивую индифферентность - то есть на тебя им плевать. Такое ощущение, что через тебя просто перешагивают. Но совершенно без агрессии. В этом смысле Корея ближе к Японии.
Да и вообще Корея показалась мне гораздо больше похожей на некую generic Европу, чем на Азию, особенно если не обращать внимания на корейскую кухню и очень немногочисленные примеры "азиатской архитектуры".
Кухня на Бали показалась ужасной, в Гонконге я был один и по ресторанам особенно не ходил (зашел съесть шаолонгбао, были прекрасны, как и следовало ожидать), к корейской кухне чуть больше чем равнодушен. То, что называется street food в Сеуле - фантастический (не традиционный, а инновативный).
Бали очень экзотичен, но не столько теми храмами, куда ездят туристы, сколько тем фактом, что индуистские храмы там бувально в каждом квартале каждой деревни. Их там тысячи и тысячи. Храмы, часовни, молельни. Это часть жизни. На территории нашей гостиницы было два, причем они были не для туристов и специально поставлены так, чтобы постояльцы как можно реже к ним подходили. Эти храмы чаще всего собирают из частей, изготовленных из чего-то типа пористого бетона или какого-то искусственного камнеподобного материала, иногда из чего-то вроде нарезанной пористой лавы. Части продаются прямо на улицах, как огромное лего. На въездах в Денпасар (главный, но абсолютно нетуристский город) стоят разные огромные статуи божеств, в основном тоже бетонные, и многие из них одеты в натуральные тряпочные юбки-саронги.

Date: 2018-10-23 04:16 pm (UTC)Кухня на Бали мне неплохой показалась, что-то приличное я всегда там находил (в туристических местах), при том что сильно острое и всякие noodle и рис я не люблю. А ресторан с экзотическим мясом (питон, кобра, черепаха, летающая лиса...) очень понравился.
Тут есть пара ресторанов балийской кухни и мне нравится, бываю раз/два в год, благо тут они под местные вкусы адаптированы (не остро) что хорошо. Кстати с таиландской кухней то же: отличная Кухня - если адаптирована под не-острые вкусы.
В балийской кухне нравится больше всего rendang beef (тушёная говядина) и tempe (жареное тофу) в кокосовых стружках, и ещё несколько неплохих, баранина в кокосовом карри, курицы итд.
корейская кухня почти ничего заслуживающего внимания.
Гонконг считается в десятке лучших городов мира по кухне. Сама кухня наверно и в Вашингтоне обильно представлена.
Уличные храмы в таиланде тоже есть, покажу позже забавный.
